The American Society of Agricultural Consultants announced Aug. 20 that it accepted Dane Watson, founder of the consulting firm Watson’s Ag Forward and a specialist in agricultural robotics, as a new member.

Watson is known for his hands-on experience, integrating innovative technology into farming operations worldwide. His background includes:

  • Globally selling and providing field tech support for Precision Planting
  • Introducing advanced field robots, such as those from FarmDroid, to American farmers
  • Facilitating the first operational seasons for this new technology on U.S. soil
  • Organizing field days to demonstrate how automation can reduce labor costs and improve crop management

As the founder of Watson’s Ag Forward, Watson uses this ground-level expertise to provide clients with strategic advice on precision agriculture, data analytics, and supply chain optimization, the society says.

“Joining ASAC is a vital step in my mission to provide forward-thinking, actionable advice to the agricultural community,” Watson says. “My goal is to be a true partner to farmers, helping them navigate a complex and ever-changing landscape. ASAC’s community and framework of excellence will allow me to bring even greater value to my clients.”

Watson will be a featured panelist at the upcoming ASAC Annual Conference, “On Track for Success,” in Indianapolis from Nov. 2-4. He will join the panel discussion, “What I Wish I Knew Then/What I Know Now – Ag Consultant Panel,” to share early-career lessons and professional insights.
