It’s tee time for the Don Strock Diabetes Golf Classic

The South Florida produce industry is getting ready to tee up for the 35th Annual Don Strock Diabetes Golf Classic.

The South Florida produce industry is getting ready to tee up for the 35th Annual Don Strock Diabetes Golf Classic.

The event, one of the longest-running celebrity/amateur charity golf tournaments, is scheduled for May 9 at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club in Miami, according to a news release.

The tournament will be hosted by former Miami Dolphins quarterback Don Strock, according to the release, and is chaired by Bruce Fishbein, president of The Produce Connection.

The event starts off with lunch, followed by a noon tee-off. A cocktail hour, awards dinner and silent auction benefitting the Diabetes Research Institute round out the day, according to the release.

The golf classic has raised more than $3 million for the institute, according to the release.
