J&J promotions include new management team

J&J Family of Farms, Westlake, Fla., has made personnel changes.

Dick Bowman, the company’s director of farming since 2015, is now the vice president of farming and grower development, leading management and development of grower partner relationships, according to a news release.

Joseph Mathis, a part of J&J’s food safety division for nine years, is in the new position of senior grower development manager, reporting to Bowman. Mathis will manage sourcing during the Georgia and summer seasons along the East Coast, and the manage supply from growers, according to the release.

Kristen Jones has been promoted to senior food safety manager, leading food safety/social responsibility of Georgia and East Coast growers. She will work in the J&J warehouse in Adel, Ga., during that state’s season.

Doug Kling, managing partner of Kling Strategic Partners who has worked with J&J since August, will take a leadership role business development, value-added packaging sales, and strategy, according to the release.

“We are excited to form an innovative team that will focus on securing new business opportunities and continue exceeding our customers’ expectations,” CEO Lynn Rundle said in the release.

Business development initiatives will be coordinated by a new management team led by Kling, who will also have a senior leadership role in the company’s marketing division.
