Potandon Produce LLC — which markets produce under the Green Giant Fresh and Klondike brands — appointed seasoned produce executive Mike Behrendt as regional director of product procurement, based in Pendleton, Ind.

According to Potandon, Behrendt brings decades of leadership across the produce industry, most recently serving in senior roles at Grimmway Farms, including vice president of secondary crops, general manager of grower relations (potatoes), and vice president of potato operations. He also held leadership positions at Tasteful Selections and Black Gold Farms, building strong relationships across both grower and procurement communities.

In his new role at Potandon, Behrendt will lead regional procurement strategies, strengthen grower partnerships and help deliver high-quality potatoes and onions to retail partners nationwide.

“Mike’s deep industry expertise and proven leadership will help us expand our reach, innovate in procurement and deliver even greater value to our growers and retail partners,” David Lawrence, CEO of Potandon Produce, says in a news release. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our growing Potandon team.”
