Sev-Rend hires Art Vega as VP of business development

Packaging company Sev-Rend, Collinsville, Ill., has hired Art Vega as vice president of business development.

Packaging company Sev-Rend Corp., Collinsville, Ill., has hired Art Vega as vice president of business development.

Vega, who has almost 30 years of experience including packaging, sales and marketing, most recently was director of retail at Giro Pack USA Inc.

Before that he was director of sales for Charlie’s Produce, and vice president of merchandising and marketing at Sysco Corp. in Spokane, Wash., according to a news release.

He has also been in administrative/executive positions at Freshpoint Las Vegas, Alliant Foodservice and Picasso Produce.

Vega’s presence will help Sev-Rend extend its footprint into consumer packaging, according to the release.
