ZAG CEO, CTO to retire

The company said its president, Eric Reigner will become CEO and its vice president, Thuan Ngo, will become COO.

San Jose, Calif.-based IT consulting firm ZAG Technical Services says its CEO Greg Gatzke and Chief Technology Officer Jim Hunton will retire. The company said its current president, Eric Reigner, will become its new CEO. The company’s current vice president, Thuan Ngo, will become its chief operating officer.

The company said Gatzke, who founded the company, will remain with the company and will continue to drive industry conversations and ZAG clients. Hunton, will serve as an adviser to ZAG clients and internal teams.

“This transition represents an exciting evolution for ZAG,” Gatzke said in a news release. “Eric and Thuan embody the leadership, discipline, and vision needed to guide ZAG into its next chapter. I am confident that under their stewardship, ZAG will continue to grow, innovate, and deliver exceptional value to our clients.”

Reigner is a former naval officer with more than three years in his role at ZAG. The company said he brings discipline and a people-first leadership approach to his new role as CEO.

Their focus on collaboration and people is at the core of ZAG’s success, and it’s a culture I’m committed to preserving,” Reigner said in the release. “I look forward to leading ZAG into a new era of innovation and growth while supporting the Nation’s food supply chain in meaningful ways.”

ZAG said Ngo, who has been with the company for three years, will bring a forward-thinking approach to his role. The company said his focus on innovation, efficiency and strategic partnerships will ensure it continues delivering solutions enabling growth for its clients.
