Hazel Technologies Inc., Chicago, is presenting the Grape Quality Summit.

The free two-hour event on Oct. 9 will feature the latest research on table grape post-harvest quality, according to a news release.

Speakers include:

  • Juan Pablo Zoffoli, professor of post-harvest physiology and technology at Facultad de Agronomía e Ingeniería Forestal, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile;
  • Patricio Mendoza, national quality manager for The Oppenheimer Group; and
  • Mario Cervantes, senior business development manager at Hazel Technologies.

“Due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, innovation in the table grape category regarding post-harvest management is needed now more than ever before,” Zoffoli said in the release.

Mendoza said Oppy places a high priority on embracing new technologies to provide quality table grapes.

“Sharing knowledge within the industry on the latest research and development will help us collectively grow the grape category together,” Mendoza said in the release.

Registration is open to the general industry until Oct. 9, or until capacity is reached, according to the release. More information and registration is online.
