Alliance for Food and Farming sponsors online contest
The Alliance for Food and Farming, whose mission is to educate consumers on the healthfulness of fresh produce, is sponsoring an online contest.
The alliance, which recently updated its website, safefruitsandveggies.com, asks consumers to visit the site and answer four questions about its content. Survey participants are eligible for a $250 gift card to their favorite grocery store.
The updated website, released in April, has new sections designed to counteract the Dirty Dozen list by the Environmental Working Group. Links to “A Dozen Reasons to Eat Fruits and Veggies,” and “Five Facts about Produce” provide “easily retained information about the benefits of eating fruits and veggies as well as the safety of organic and conventional produce," according to a news release.
