Mucci Farms opens Texas distribution center
Greenhouse grower Mucci Farms, Kingsville, Ontario, is opening a distribution center in San Antonio to serve U.S. customers.
The facility, at the San Antonio Wholesale Produce Market, positions Mucci Farms to better serve Southern U.S. customers while cutting food miles and carbon footprint, according to a news release.
The company plans to begin operations at the new space in 8-10 weeks.
“San Antonio was a logical city for us because it is a major southern crossing, and this location will help us increase efficiencies and assist with logistics,” Danny Mucci, president of Mucci International Marketing, said in a news release. “Through this facility, we’ll be able to distribute our full lineup of products to the region in a timely manner, allowing consumers to take advantage of maximum shelf life and high quality of our produce.”
Mucci Farms recently harvested from the first phase of a planned 60-acre Huron, Ohio expansion.
“Through this facility, we’ll be able to distribute our full lineup of products to the region in a timely manner, allowing consumers to take advantage of maximum shelf life and high quality of our produce,” Mucci said in the release.
“We are thrilled to continue our expansion into the U.S. with a southern facility that can help us service the region effectively,” Joe Spano, vice president of Mucci International Marketing, said in the release.
