Legacy Fruit and Chelan Fruit team up

The companies combine forces as the vertically integrated tree fruit platform, Legendary Fruit Company.

Legacy Fruit in Wapato, Wash., and Chelan Fruit in Chelan, Wash., said in a news release the companies will operate as a vertically integrated tree fruit platform under the unified name of Legendary Fruit Company.

The companies combined have more than 6,000 acres of orchards in Washington State and multiple state-of-the-art packing facilities.

“I am incredibly proud of all the members of our team who are working tirelessly to live up to our new name, Legendary Fruit Company,” said Steve Clement, CEO of Legendary Fruit Company. “Our amazing people are bringing it to life every day — on the farm, in our packing facilities and in our service to the legendary multigenerational family farms we support.”

The companies said the Legendary name reflects a commitment to excellence for delivering quality apples, pears and cherries, including varieties such as the SugarBee apple. Legendary Fruit Co. said it has a network of 4,000 acres of partner family farms to produce high-quality fruit and a state-of-the-art packing facility.

Legendary Fruit Co. also partners with CMI to bring its premium fruit to customers across the globe.

Bob Mast, president of CMI said the company is proud to partner with Legendary Fruit.
