Southern Specialties expands line

Southern Specialties Inc., Pompano Beach, Fla., has expanded its product line in response to customer demand, said Charlie Eagle, vice president, business development.

Southern Specialties Inc., Pompano Beach, Fla., has expanded its product line in response to customer demand, said Charlie Eagle, vice president, business development.

Over the past year or so, the company has added Southern Selects clipped green beans, broccoli florets, Brussels sprouts, organic French beans, which are available year-round, and seasonal organic asparagus and seasonal organic Brussels sprouts.

Other new items include sweet baby broccoli, halved and peeled butternut squash, cubed butternut squash and Brussels sprouts leaves.

They’re sold under the Southern Selects label, and most are available for retail or foodservice in a variety of pack sizes, he said.
