The U.S. Department of Agriculture is considering allowing imports of fresh raspberries from Peru into the U.S.

The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has drafted a pest risk assessment that considers the potential pests associated with the raspberries and is asking for comments on the plan.

Comments can be sent to PPQPRAcomments@aphis.usda.gov.

The USDA will accept comments on the pest risk assessment until July 29. More information is available on the USDA-APHIS page for the pest risk assessment.
