With California’s citrus season in full swing, Bee Sweet Citrus, Fowler, Calif., is welcoming the return of satsuma mandarins.
Available through November, the company’s satsumas are harvested in California’s Central Valley, according to a news release. Bee Sweet emphasizes the snacking qualities of the fruit.
“With Halloween right around the corner, many parents and educators are looking for healthy snacks to include in their holiday festivities,” Monique Bienvenue , director of communications, said in a news release. “Satsuma mandarins are not only tasty, they’re also an excellent source of vitamin C, making them an ideal snack for children or those on-the-go.”
The fruit has an easy-to-peel skin and has little to no seeds, according to the release.
“The fruit’s versatility and nutritional benefits make them a hit amongst households everywhere,” Bienvenue said in the release.
