Envy apples will be a part of a recent Christmas tradition, with promotions during the Hallmark Channel’s popular Countdown to Christmas programming.

The channel has ranked as the most-watched network in the fourth-quarter with women aged 25-54 for the past four years, boosted by its 24/7 holiday programming, according to a news release.

Envy apples will be featured on Hallmark Channel’s broadcast, social and digital properties starting in mid-November.

The apple will be featured in a recipe demonstration on the “Home & Family” morning show with hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison. The hosts will also appear in a sponsored video, demonstrating how to assemble a cheese and charcuterie board featuring Envy apples. The hosts will note the crisp crunch and balanced sweetness of the apple, along with its natural ability to stay whiter longer than some other varieties.

T&G Global owns the Envy apple brand is supporting the Hallmark Channel campaign with additional digital advertising, social media content and a public relations push with a six-week activation, according to the release. It’s expected to garner more than 200 million impressions during the holiday season.

CMI Orchards, Rainier Fruit Co. and Oppy market the apples.

“Hallmark Channel’s popular ‘Countdown to Christmas’ programming is especially relevant this year as families spend more time at home,” Cecilia Flores Paez, T&G Global head of marketing for North America, said in the release. “Envy apples invite consumers to pause and enjoy the best of the season, enhancing holiday moments of joy and connection with delicious flavors.”

HallmarkChannel.com will have more Envy recipes, as well as serving tips and holiday inspirations. Display ads will be featured on Hallmark Channel’s websites, driving consumers to online resources.

HolidaysWithEnvy.com features recipes inspired by holiday films on the “Countdown to Christmas” and new recipes will be posted weekly. For example, Timeless Envy Apple Crostini is inspired by the premiere of “A Timeless Christmas” on the Hallmark Channel.

Retailers will offer Envy apples in 2-pound holiday-themed bags and display bins.

“As the spirit of Christmas grows during this important shopping period, so too the opportunity to connect with shoppers in relevant and meaningful ways, which is the purpose of this comprehensive Envy holiday activation,” Flores Paez said in the release.
