Lettuce takes over on PMG

The top five fruits and vegetables on PMG saw some dramatic shifts the week of Nov. 9 as lettuce moved up from No. 3 to the No. 1 spot, oranges climbed from No. 8 the previous week to No. 2, and organic pears moved from No. 6 to No. 3. Broccoli vaulted from No. 11 the week of Oct. 26 to No. 4 the week of Nov. 2, while apples rose from No. 18 to complete the top 5.

Potatoes climbed from No. 15 to No. 6, and carrots rose from No. 13 the previous week to No. 7. Dragon fruit moved up a couple of spots to No. 8, and cucumbers jumped from No. 20 to No. 9. Sweet potatoes fell from No. 7 the previous week to No. 10.

Specialty citrus pummelo rejoined the list at No. 11, and cabbage also reappeared at No. 12. Pomegranates fell to No. 13 from No. 5 the previous week, and tomatoes came back at No. 14. Pumpkins, the previous No. 1 commodity for several weeks in a row, fell to No. 15.

Lemons rejoined at No. 16, and avocados slipped one spot to No. 17. Mangoes and mushrooms came back at No. 18 and No. 19, and mandarins bumped down to No. 20.
