Ocean Mist promo focuses on convenience

Ocean Mist Farms is kicking off a fall consumer promotion that includes give-away sweepstakes, social media influencers and advertising, and geo-targeted coupons.

The promotion features artichokes and Ocean Mist’s Season and Steam line, according to a news release, focusing on them as fresh, flavorful and convenient solutions for holiday and everyday meals.

Chrissa Benson of Physical Kitchness and Kaleigh McMordie of Lively Table will use their sites to promote recipes to educate consumers on Ocean Mist products.

Registered dietitian-nutritionist Carissa Bealert is appearing in six televised segments for Ocean Mist.

Participants in the promotion also will encourage consumers to use iBotta, a couponing app, according to the release.

“We know that this time of year can be especially busy for our shoppers, and we want to make sure they know that our products are perfect for a quick, delicious, and nutrient-packed meal,” Diana McClean, senior director of marketing, said in the release. “We have invested in a marketing strategy that we know increases sales based on coupon redemptions.”

A sweepstakes, the Fall Flavor Giveaway, awards consumers Instant Pot Duo 6-Quart cookers and Instant Artichoke e-cookbook. One of the cookers is being given away each week between Sept. 27-Nov. 9.

“The Fall Flavor Giveaway is another fun, on-trend and engaging promotion to elevate this message and inspire shoppers to purchase our products during the months ahead,” McClean said in the release.

Ocean Mist representatives will be talking about the promotions and other ideas to boost retail artichoke sales at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit Oct. 19-20 in Orlando, Fla., at booth No. 1132.
