Zing! promotes super sweet pepper
Leamington, Ontario-based Zing! Healthy Foods wants to expand pepper lovers’ horizons past the bell peppers with the specialty Super Sweet Shepherd variety.
The Super Sweet Shepherd is a long, pointy pepper with a crunchy texture, according to a news release, and is especially good for grilling.
“Retailers have an opportunity to give their customers more of a selection when it comes to the pepper category,” Jordan Kniaziew, vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release.
“These peppers are one of the most popular peppers in Europe because of the high level of sweetness.”
