The Packer’s Sustainable Produce Summit, Sept. 13-17, features industry experts speaking on topics from water conservation and policy to social responsibility, carbon management and packaging innovations to trends and data from The Packer’s annual sustainability survey. This year’s event also introduces the Best of SPS Marketing Awards.

The goal of these new awards is to showcase how companies are using different tactics to tell their general sustainability stories, and also how they’re communicating about their efforts to combat food waste. Nominations are open through Aug. 31. The four award categories are:

  • Best Sustainability Marketing Packaging;
  • Best Sustainability Marketing Website;
  • Best Sustainability Marketing Social Media; and
  • Best Sustainability Marketing Food Waste Messaging

Submissions will be featured on The Packer’s website and social media platforms, and the winners will be announced during the SPS Marketing and Merchandising webinar on Sept. 15.
