Jasa Packaging Solutions is promoting its Sleever, which can automatically put a cardboard sleeve around packages, for kiwifruit.

The company says its user-friendly equipment works with plastic clamshells and paper punnets, which are gaining in popularity because they are plastic free, according to a news release.

The company, which is based in the Netherlands but has partnerships with U.S. companies as dealers, has a webpage dedicated to kiwifruit and packaging options for the fruit.

The Jasa Sleever can process up to 100 packages a minute, and allows for a quick changeover for another packing or sleeve. The machine is easy to integrate into a packing line and is compact.

“The sleeve offers enough space for your brand recognition or your claim for environmental friendliness,” according to the release. “Use your packaging as a marketing tool!”

Jasa dealers in the U.S. include Van Doren Sales, Fox Solutions, Volm Cos. and Ag-Pak Inc.
