NatureSeal, the company originally known for preserving fresh-cut apples, has a new blend for fresh strawberries.

The powder, when applied to strawberries, maintains their freshness for up to 11 days when refrigerated, according to a news release.

The product retards spoilage, and maintains color and firmness of the strawberries without changing the flavor. It can be used on sliced, topped, halved and diced strawberries. It can also be used on strawberries for fresh-cut fruit medleys, berries added to yogurt and for baked goods toppings, according to the release.

The company also has formulations for avocados, peaches, potatoes and other produce.
