Freight brokerage Total Quality Logistics, Cincinnati, has received the “Best in Cargo Security” award for cargo theft prevention efforts.

It’s the second time TQL received the award, in the Larger Broker/Intermediary category, from CargoNet, according to a news release.

CargoNet uses a national information-sharing computer system to help prevent cargo theft and track down stolen items, sharing data with customers, business partners and law enforcement officials.

“Our internal teams at TQL work tirelessly to identify threats to our customers’ freight and ensure the well-being of all those involved in transporting loads,” TQL President Kerry Byrne said in the release.

TQL produces cargo safety blogs based on CargoNet tip sheets before major holidays and other high-risk times of the year, according to the release.
