CORRECTED: Wonderful Pistachios have racked up $1 billion in North American retail sales annually.

It’s the first brand from The Wonderful Co., which markets Pom Wonderful juice, pomegranates, Halos mandarins and other citrus and Fiji Water, to hit that milestone, according to a news release.

The company’s No Shells line and traditional in-shell pistachios are successful, with IRI sales data placing No Shells products as the fastest-growing snack brand — including the popular Honey Roasted and Chili Roasted flavors — and in-shell products reaching 14% household penetration. There is an 81% overall brand awareness of Wonderful Pistachios.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our Wonderful Pistachios family who have contributed to building this brand over the past 12 years and want to give thanks to the full Wonderful Pistachios family, including our growers; we’re more optimistic than ever about what’s in store for the future,” Adam Cooper, senior vice president of marketing, said in the release.

Wonderful Pistachios recently kicked off a multimillion-dollar marketing campaign, with Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Tony Gonzalez and weightlifter and Olympian Kendrick Farris.

Wonderful Pistachios No Shells flavors were named an IRI “Rising Star,” an Amazon named them a “Hot Release.” Next spring, the company is introducing two more No Shells flavors: BBQ and Sea Salt & Vinegar.

Past promotions have included Super Bowl ads with Stephen Colbert and Psy (of the Gangnam Style dance) and commercials featuring the animated Ernie the Elephant (voiced by WWE celebrity John Cena). The brand’s “Get Crackin’” campaign featured Snoop Dogg, , Khloé Kardashian and Miss Piggy.

The company debuted the No Shells line with a talking turtle named Sheldon.

“It’s with great excitement we’ll continue to promote the brand in its many years to come,” Michael Perigao, president of Wonderful Agency, the in-house creator of ads for the company, said in the release.

Note on correction: The story has been corrected to specify Wonderful Pistachios sales are $1 billion annually.
