Castroville, Calif.-based Ocean Mist Farms now is receiving regular arrivals of organic asparagus out of Mexico, said Joseph Angelo, sales manager.

“Quality is excellent, and we’ve started off with a strong market,” he said.

The seasonal deal will continue through April or into May, depending on weather.

Ocean Mist also expects to have promotable volume on its organic artichokes out of California’s Coachella Valley by the third or fourth week of January, Angelo said.
