Renaissance Food Group, Rancho Cordova, Calif., has hired Edward Redd and Kate Brooks in executive sales roles.

Redd is senior vice president of sales and Brooks is vice president of sales at Renaissance Food Group (RFG), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Calavo Growers Inc.

Redd most recently was president of Dotta Foods International, Rolling Hills Estates, Calif., an importer of frozen and process fruits, vegetable and specialty foods.

He was at Tesco’s U.S. division Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets as frozen category manager and vice president of business development, and also worked at Pepsi Bottling Group, Contessa Premium Foods and ConAgra Frozen Foods, according to a news release.

Brooks is returning to RFG; she was director of prepared foods for three years before joining FiveStar Gourmet Foods as vice president of sales-East in 2019. Before that, she was at Taylor Farms’ Illinois Division, Gourmet Kitchens Inc., in roles that included director of business development.

Redd and Brooks joined RFG in June; he will be based at the company’s Riverside, Calif., production facility and she is working remotely in the Midwest.

“The future is bright with exciting initiatives focused on continued growth of our innovative fresh food products in the marketplace,” Raina Nelson, executive vice president of business development for RFG, said in the release. “I am confident their progressive leadership contributions will successfully drive our organization forward.”
