West Pak Avocado, Murrieta, Calif., has a new segment in the Avo Effect campaign.

The sixth episode in the series, The Global Impact of Avocados, goes beyond avocados’ purpose of consumption to the world it reaches and potential culturally and globally as demand grows.

Stories in the Avo Effect series include how avocados created momentum in the produce industry from retail to trade and online, and how West Pak Avocado is involved in the efforts, according to a news release.

"Today, the avocado is even recognized as a mainstream pop culture icon from social media to emerging trends," Doug Meyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. "From a desired healthier lifestyle to a balanced diet, research data proves this heart-healthy green fruit is only increasing in awareness and desirability.”
