USDA lifts PACA reparation sanctions on New Jersey-based produce company

The USDA has announced that Miami Growers Inc. satisfied a $6,960 reparation order issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) involving unpaid produce transactions.

The Jersey City, N.J., company has met its obligations and is now free to operate in the produce industry, according to a news release.

 Kantibhai V. Patel and Bhavin Hajariwala were listed as the officers, directors and/or major stockholders of the business and may now be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee.
