Earthbound Farm is celebrating 40 years of organic farming with new offerings, including its organic salad kits featuring dressings made with 100% organic avocado oil and its limited-harvest Wild Red Arugula blend.

The Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer has recognized Canadian greenhouse grower Village Farms Fresh as a “Giga Guru” through its sustainability initiative “Project Gigaton.”

The Specialty Crop Farm Bill Alliance has praised the release of two separate farm bill frameworks by the chairs of the U.S. House and Senate Agriculture Committees.

The registry will require plastic resin manufacturers, producers of plastic products and service providers to report the quantity and types of plastic placed on the market and how that plastic moves through the economy.

The Department of Labor says the rule focuses on strengthening protections for temporary agricultural workers and enhancing the department’s capabilities to monitor program compliance and take actions against violators.

The recalled walnuts were sold in bulk 25-pound packages to distributors in California and Washington.
