Dairy Grazing Conference Still Set for Joplin

A large part of the conference will be tours of grazing dairies, none of which were damaged by the storm.

Despite the horrendous tornado that tore through Joplin, Mo. last month, the Missouri Grazing Conference will still be held in that city.

The conference, scheduled for July 6 – 8, will be held at the Holiday Inn Convention Center and nearby hotel. Both are outside the devastation zone of the EF5 tornado.

A large part of the conference will be tours of grazing dairies, none of which were damaged by the storm, says Tony Rickard, University of Missouri dairy specialist.
