Bowery Farming hosts happy hour, more at United Fresh LIVE!

Bowery Farming, New York, N.Y., is hosting a virtual happy hour to kick off the United Fresh LIVE! conference and trade show June 15-19.

Bowery Farming, New York, N.Y., is hosting a virtual happy hour to kick off the United Fresh LIVE! conference and trade show June 15-19.

The team will also host a virtual “sensory experience” to highlight the launch of its newest product, Crispy Leaf lettuce, according to a news release.

Carmela Cugini, executive vice president of sales, and Chris Livingston, general counsel, are participating in two controlled environment agriculture panels.

Attendees can register for these Bowery-involved events, listed in Eastern Daylight Time:

  • 5:30 p.m. June 15: Bowery Happy Hour;
  • 11 a.m. June 16: Panel discussion — Food Safety Challenges and Opportunities Unique to CEA Leafy Greens;
  • 2 p.m. June 16: Bowery’s Sensory Experience; and
  • 11 a.m. June 17: Panel discussion — COVID-19 and Market Disruptions: How Decentralized CEA Supply Chains Add Value.

United Fresh Produce Association’s virtual expo is free this year, but registration is required.
