NEW YORK — The Big Apple is about to get uglier.

NEW YORK — The Big Apple is about to get uglier.

Within the next two months, Imperfect Produce will sell to New Yorkers its scarred, oddly sized and weirdly-shaped fresh produce through home delivery. It’s the stuff that still tastes good, but growers normally toss or sell at a steep loss.

During his visit to Manhattan, Ben Simon, CEO and co-founder of San Francisco-based Imperfect Produce, met with The Packer’s Northeast editor Amy Sowder to talk about the company’s northeastern expansion and other changes coming soon.
