Baker Farms delays construction of new cooler

Baker Farms, Norman Park, Ga., planned to begin construction in February on a new cooler to provide 30% more capactiy overall, but the COVID-19 pandemic has delayed those plans.

The cooler will have a receiving end and loading docks, said Heath Wetherington, director of operations. 

“We’ll just to see how things are going to shake out,” he said. “Right now, our must-begin date would be middle of June to first of July. We’re sitting on go.”
