Boston-based Costa Fruit & Produce is joining a growing list of foodservice wholesales selling directly to consumers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Consumers can order fresh fruit, vegetables and specialty foods online for next-day pickup at Costa’s Boston facility, according to a news release.

In response to the recent challenges related to COVID-19, the company is looking for ways to find new customers.

“We hope that by providing an alternative to shopping at a traditional market, we will make it easier for communities to maintain social distancing and still obtain delicious fresh foods,” Manny Costa, CEO and president, said in the release.

Consumers can visit https://costafarmersmarket.com/ for fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, local meats and specialty ingredients.

Pre-selected fresh vegetable and fruit boxes are also available for a one-click shopping solution.

Orders can be placed for pickup noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Bunker Hill Industrial Park.
