FreshXperts adds foodservice expertise

Foodservice veteran Paul Grothe has joined the produce industry consultant firm FreshXperts.

Foodservice veteran Paul Grothe has joined the produce industry consultant firm FreshXperts.

“Paul has tremendous experience in fresh food procurement including contract negotiations creating foodservice supply chain solutions,” Anthony Totta, founder of FreshXperts, said in a news release. “Paul expands FreshXperts educational offerings by training foodservice buyers how to sharpen their skills in supply chain procurement.”

Grothe boasts 25 years experience in the industry in foodservice marketing, procurement, quality control, distribution and logistics, according to the release. Grothe was born in Salinas and attained Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Besides starting his own consulting business, Grothe has previously worked for Markon, US Foodservice, and Subway’s procurement arm, according to the release.

“The decision to join FreshXperts was an easy one for me,” Grothe said in the release. “After learning more about the group and speaking to many of the consultant members, many of who I know well, I decided it would be a great fit not only for me but my family. “I am proud to be joining a consortium of experts that share my broad-based experience to create bottom-line results for our clients.”
