Brothers Produce awarded federal contract to supply fruits and vegetables

The company has been awarded a maximum $285.2 million contract.

Houston-based Brothers Produce Inc. has been awarded a maximum $285.2 million contract to supply fresh fruit and vegetables.

The contract, with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, was a competitive acquisition with three responses received, according to a Nov. 30 news release.

The five-year contract has no option periods, with a performance completion date of Nov. 27, 2027. The using customers are: Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy and Department of Agriculture schools and reservations, according to the release.
