Eastern Produce Council invites industry to barbecue with NJ produce updates

Get updates on New Jersey produce while eating it at the annual Eastern Produce Council barbecue networking event.

Expect some great fresh produce, barbecue meats and all the fixin’s at the annual New Jersey Department of Agriculture BBQ, hosted by Eastern Produce Council at Demarest Farms, Hillsdale, N.J.

The event starts with cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by the barbecue dinner and meeting at 7 p.m. May 24. Usually, leaders of several commodity organizations give updates on the season as it revs up.

The state agriculture department and Demarest Farms are sponsors.

The winner of the ninth annual James and Theresa Nolan Family Foundation and EPC Scholarship 2022 will be announced.

This event will feature Jersey Fresh produce and other locally sourced food and beverages.
