Our commitment to representing the industry starts in the fields and the packinghouses, and we’re thrilled to be spearheading this initiative alongside EFI.”
The Equitable Food Initiative and The Packer created the program to recognize the invaluable contributions of farmworkers in the fresh produce industry.
“Frontline workers in the agriculture industry are crucial to the industry’s success, yet often go unrecognized,” said LeAnne Ruzzamenti, director of marketing communications for EFI. “We cannot overstate the significance of farmworkers to our food system. Their dedication and hard work are the foundation upon which the entire agriculture industry stands. This award is a step toward giving them the recognition and appreciation for the essential role they play.”
