After years of service, Don Gann is stepping down from his leadership role as president of the Fresh Produce & Floral Council, according to a news release.

The FPFC is a California-based advocacy organization with a mission to empower its members and advance the fresh produce and floral industry through education, professional development and networking. The FPFC board of directors plans to hire an interim executive director to assist during the transition and then begin a search for a new president to lead the association into its next chapter, the release said.

“Don Gann has been a driving force behind the FPFC’s success. His vision, leadership, and tireless efforts have propelled us forward, ensuring that our industry remains resilient and adaptable,” FPFC board Chair Michael Schutt said in the release. “On behalf of the entire board of directors, I want to thank Don for his outstanding service and dedication to the FPFC.”

Building membership, ensuring that the FPFC has a strong foundation, and delivering more value to our membership have been my top priorities throughout my tenure. I’m immensely grateful for the unwavering support and dedication of the board of directors and our exceptional staff,” Gann said in the release.

Gann’s tenure as president has been marked by significant achievements, the release said, such as fostering key industry relationships, increasing membership, expanding educational initiatives and enhancing the FPFC’s presence as a leading fresh produce and floral advocate.

“I look forward to witnessing the continued growth and success of this outstanding organization,” Gann said.
