It was family day at the farm on Oct. 13 as the Eastern Produce Council hosted its fourth-annual Joe DeLorenzo Family Day and Apple Picking Event at Melick’s Family Farm, Oldwick, N.J.

Named for Joe DeLorenzo, a long-time board member and two-time president of the council who died in 2014, the event featured hayrides, apple-picking, fresh cider, and other treats, including roasted corn on the cob, according to a news release.

“Joe was all about family, and this event is an opportunity for EPC families to remember Joe and spend time together out on a farm in primetime apple season.” Susan McAleavey Sarlund, executive director of the EPC, said in the release.
