Naturipe Farms, Salinas, Calif., has promoted Jim Roberts to president of sales, a new position at the company.

Roberts has been at Naturipe for more than 15 years, most recently as vice president of sales. He joined Global Berry Farms as an account manager in 2004; that company changed its identity to Naturipe Farms in 2006.

Before that, Roberts was with Shaws Supermarkets as senior manager of perishable procurement.

“Jim is one of our most experienced and trusted leaders with a great reputation among our team members and in the produce industry,” Larry Ensfield, chairman of the board at Naturipe Farms, said in the release. “Under Jim’s direction, we will continue our commitment to serving our customers and consumers with a wide variety of healthful products that deliver excellent product quality and service and continued market leading innovation.”
