Sunkist Growers, Valencia, Calif., has promoted Jeff Gaston to managing director of North American sales and named other to regional sales positions.

Brian Slagel is in the new role of director of Southeast and Canada sales and Timothy Forseth is director of Western sales.

Gaston joined Sunkist in 1999 as a sales representative in Vancouver, British Columbia. He most recently was director of Western sales at the citrus cooperative, according to a news release. In the new position, Gaston will oversee domestic sales and identify new opportunities for the citrus cooperative.

Forseth succeeds him in the Western sales position, effective Oct. 14. Most recently, he was director of sales at Square One Farms LLC, Miramar, Fla. He was at Robinson Fresh for nine years in a variety of roles, including director of sales-Southeast, and has served on the Southeast Produce Council board of directors.

Slagel has been with Sunkist Growers for more than 25 years, according to the news release, shaping “much of the way Sunkist plans to grow by developing the approach to bring sales, retail marketing and category management together to maximize customer success.”

“As the longest-standing cooperative in the nation, we strive to deliver innovation and provide strategic solutions to our customer, all while offering the highest quality of fruit to their customers and driving consumption of citrus,” Christian Harris, chief operations officer. Our people are one of our greatest assets in being able to support that every day.”
