OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — North Kansas City, Mo.-based Cool Creations LLC had two new products to show off at the Associated Wholesale Grocers’ seventh annual Innovation Showcase, March 25-26.

Greg Taylor, vice president of sales for Cool Creations, said the company will soon distribute a new fruit kit. The kit, offered in three different varieties, comes with dressing and other toppings, and it is designed for consumers looking for a grab-and-go pack that is different than the traditional lettuce salad kits, Taylor said.

In addition, Cool Creations is offering a four-variety smoothie kit featuring Zyn drink packets. The cup smoothie comes with produce, yogurt and the drink packet, designed for the consumer to mix at home with ice.

“We think this is going to be great for AWG and retailers,” Taylor said, adding that convenience stores also could be prime sellers of the product.

In addition, Cool Creations is offering a new line of chips and dip in a grab-and-go format, Taylor said.
