Avocados From Mexico brings avo toast home for the holidays

Avocados From Mexico is encouraging consumers to get into the holiday spirit with its Season’s Eatings promotion, Nov. 10 through Dec. 31, which asks families to put their own spin on avocado toast.

“The holidays aren’t the holidays without those family grocery store visits, prepping for the big meals. Our Season’s Eatings campaign is focused on just that, bringing our product to every holiday table and driving avocado sales forward,” Maggie Bezart-Hall, vice president of trade and promotion, said in a news release.

A recent study from the group found that nearly two-thirds of consumers say “buy-get” promotions are the most likely to get them to purchase avocados. Accordingly, Avocados From Mexico plans to offer a buy two, get one free deal through Catalina in-store coupons.

Other retail efforts include a partnership with Sara Lee on NewsAmerica Floor Talk in 4,000 stores, including Kroger, Alberston’s Safeway and Food Lion locations, according to the release.

Merchandising materials such as pallet bins, point-of-sale displays and in-store radio spots are also planned.

Online components include paid social promotion and a Mini Chefs recipe video series at avofan.com, according to the release. Families can also enter on the site to win a seven-day Mexican Riviera Cruise from Avocados From Mexico and Princess Cruises.
