Chilean Fresh Fruit Association set for citrus retail promotions

The CFFA will offer “tailored, customized marketing support” that will range from banner ads and e-commerce programs to in-store merchandising and sampling, said Karen Brux, managing director.

As usual, the Redwood City, Calif.-based Chilean Fresh Fruit Association will implement a number of promotions for Chilean citrus this summer.

“We will continue to work hand in hand with retail chains across the U.S. to provide them with tailored, customized marketing support,” said Karen Brux, managing director.

That support will range from banner ads and e-commerce programs to in-store merchandising and sampling.

“Retailers are becoming more and more savvy with how they market to their shoppers,” Brux said. “Our regional merchandisers engage in ongoing communication to ensure that we are providing the tools that are most effective for each retailer’s demographics.”

The association is sending weekly crop reports to importers, wholesalers and retailers, which will continue through October.

The association will focus primarily on social media for consumer communication.

“With nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram, more than 1.2 million on Facebook and a new, rapidly growing FruitsfromChile TikTok channel, we can reach millions of consumers with usage and nutrition information about Chilean citrus,” Brux said.
