Put the lime in the Corona, drink ‘em both up

Now Corona beer drinkers in the U.S. can add slices of Corona limes to their drinks.

Constellation Brands, which produces and imports the Corona Light, Corona Extra and other popular Mexican beers, has granted Earth Source the right to source and distribute Corona Extra branded limes.

Earth Source, part of the Four Seasons Family of Cos., and will be showcasing the fruit/beer company agreement at the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure show March 1-3 in Tampa, Fla., at booth No. 122.

“Corona beer and Corona limes are the perfect couple for any beach, slope or party,” William Ison, director of business development at Earth Source. “We are delighted that Constellation Brands and the Earth Source team will be working together to provide Corona Extra consumers with perfect limes to accompany their favorite beer.”

The limes will be available at select U.S. retailers. They’ll be available in bulk boxes and six packs, according to Earth Source. The company will oversee procurement packaging and distribution of the limes.
