Sprouts Farmers Markets plans to open 13 more locations in the third quarter of 2018.

Those new stores will follow 16 others scheduled to open during the first half of the year, according to a news release. By the end of 2018, Sprouts will be in 19 states.

The third quarter openings will include the first locations for Sprouts in Pennsylvania and Washington.

“As we continue to enter new markets, we’re pleased with the customer response to Sprouts’ unique combination of health and value,” chief development officer Ted Frumkin said in the release. “We’re looking forward to bringing healthy living for less to new neighbors in Philadelphia and the Mill Creek area of Seattle later this year.”

States in which Sprouts is expanding during the third quarter include North Carolina, Texas, Nevada, California, Oklahoma, Arizona and Maryland.

The Phoenix-based retailer operates nearly 300 stores in 16 states.
