Walmart stores in numerous states will be handing out Rockit apples from Chelan Fresh during drive-through Halloween events.

The drive-through trick-or-treating promotes social distancing. The events will feature “a variety of fall treats” for the holiday, according to a news release.

“Apples are a quintessential fall treat and we are thrilled to give trick-or-treaters of all ages the chance to discover Rockit apples,” Julie DeJarnatt, director of retail strategy at Chelan Fresh, said in the release. “Walmart is reimagining Halloween for families, and we are happy to help them reimagine the perfect sweet snack.”

Rockit apples are promoted for on-the-go snacking because of their small size. A list of participating Walmarts is online.
