There should be more than enough lemons for Lenten seasonal promotions, according to Bee Sweet Citrus, Fowler, Calif.

“Lemons are often utilized to enhance the flavor of seafood, which is regularly consumed throughout the Lenten season,” Bee Sweet Citrus sales representative Jason Sadoian said in a news release.

The company’s lemon sales team expects to continue to have lisbon, eureka and meyer lemons for the next few months to meet demand.

The lisbon and eureka varieties go well in beverages and complement salmon, shrimp and other seafood dishes.

“Consumers will be looking for delicious ways to enhance meatless meals,” Monique Bienvenue, director of communications, said in the release.

Meyer lemons, however, have a sweeter flavor profile and are often used for desserts.

Bee Sweet’s lemon varieties are available in various bag and bulk options.
