Grapes are great for health, and August kicked off a big round of health messages for California grapes in print, on social media, online and over the airwaves.

Ads focused on science-backed health research are running in print and digital magazines including SHAPE, Men’s Health, People, Good Housekeeping, Health, and Food Network Magazine, said Jeff Cardinale, vice president of communications for the Fresno-based California Table Grape Commission.

The ads focus on colon, heart, immune and brain health, he said.

Health messages are appearing in newspaper articles available via syndication services throughout the U.S. The articles are available in the online edition of the publication as well, Cardinale said.

In addition, he said 10 registered dietitians are also spreading the health benefits of California grapes through blog posts, social media posts, television appearances, and magazine articles, both in print and online.

With COVID-19 still on the minds of many, health messages revolving around California grapes’ role in a healthy immune system are also appearing across several media platforms, he said.
