Gold Coast Packing, Santa Maria, Calif., is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a new logo.

Founded by friends Ron Burk and Bob Espinola in 1978 as a vegetable and strawberry grower-shipper, the company has grown to include organic offerings and herbs, according to a news release. Newer products include riced Caulifornia vegetables, and fresh-cut broccoli, cauliflower, greens and salad kits.

The company plans to have events throughout the year to note the anniversary milestone, according to the release.

“To have thrived and prospered in business over a 40-year span proves that we have been able to do things right and meet our customers’ expectations,” Burk and Espinola said in a joint statement. “However, none of this would have been possible without the support of many talented employees and partners over those 40 years.”
