Table grape growers in California awarded nine California college students with scholarships.

Table grape growers in California awarded nine California college students with scholarships.

Scholarships given to students attending a four-year university were $25,000; scholarships for students attending a combination of community college and a university were $14,500.

California table grape growers fund scholarships through the California Table Grape Commission.

In the 35 years since the industry has been awarding scholarships, more than 160 students have received them, according to the release.

Scholarship recipients for 2020 are:

$25,000: Jared Bautista, Nerin Delgado, Georgina Rodriguez Mendez, Alissa Amaral, Dale Fransen and Amy Swall; and

$14,500: Glarisa Perales, Diana Robledo and Rebecca Santoyo.
